Here’s what nobody in the branding world wants to admit:
Most founders who’ve been burned by a bad creative hire didn’t make a bad decision. They made an uninformed one.
Nobody showed them what they needed before they needed it. No one told them that strategy has to come before design. That the brief matters more than the budget. That the right creative for a startup is completely different from the right creative for a scaling business.
So they hired based on a portfolio and a price. They got a logo. Maybe a website. And ended up back at square one six months later — lighter in the wallet and shorter on trust.
CDH exists to end that cycle.
Willie Bernoudy spent 15 years in the room where brand decisions get made — directing creative for BET, Toys R Us, regional media companies, and hospitality groups across multiple markets.
He saw what happened when strategy was missing. When the wrong creative got the job. When a brilliant founder’s vision got lost in translation between their head and the final file.
And in 2023, he built Creative Direction Hub — a brand strategy studio designed to be the layer that should always exist between a founder and every creative they hire.
